Ruby and Rotten have Puppies!
Here's a "journal" explaining all about Ruby's pups. You can click on the pictures for an enlarged view. We'll be looking for good homes for these little ones. If interested, please call or email for more information.
04/15/08 - Ruby is sleeping a lot today. She was very comfortable laying on the couch!
04/16/08 - About 4:00 a.m. this morning, Ruby went into labor, but was not making any progress. That meant a trip to the emergency room, then to Companion Animal Hospital and our regular veterinarian. Dr. Rob performed a c-section and delivered all five puppies successfully. This will be the last litter that Ruby will have, but she and the babies are doing great! We really appreciate Dr. Rob, Dr. Weaver, and all the staff at Companion.
04/16/08 - This picture was taken late in the afternoon after we made it home and everyone was settled in. There are three females and two males. One of the males is a beautiful little piebald. He is mostly white but has red markings around his ears and one eye. The light colored one is a female; she has a little white mark on her face and chest. The red male has no white at all, but the smallest red female has a little white on her chest. They are beautiful, healthy pups! I'll take individual pictures of them soon.
04/28/08 - The puppies are now almost two-weeks old! You can see in the picture how fat and healthy they are! The grandchildren have helped to give each one of them a name. I have some individual pictures - just need time to get them online!
