We have a large family - six children (all married) and fourteen grandchildren! They are all such a blessing. We thank the Lord for each of them.

For those of you who know us, there have been a lot of changes. Our oldest dachshund, Duchess, passed away a few weeks ago. She was such a sweetheart, and we loved her very much. It was almost 13 years ago that she became a part of our family. It was because of her that we wanted others to have the joy of companionship that comes from a great little dachshund.
Katie, another beloved dachshund, is now living with a fine young lady in Atlanta. Katie really wanted all of the attention for herself, and now she is truly happy in her new home because she gets just that - lots and lots of love and attention without having to share with any other dogs.

That leaves us with Reuben, Rotten, Pepper and Ruby. Pepper delivered her last litter by c-section. Even though she did very well and took excellent care of her babies, we decided that it was best for her not have to go through that again. Ruby delivered five beautiful puppies by c-section April 16th. This will be her last litter. They are AKC registered, and will be looking for good homes very soon.

We still live on three of the five acres in the big old farm house. Our oldest son and his family have purchased the other two acres and are having a house moved in. We're very happy that they will continue to be so close.   As always, our dogs love playing with the grandchildren, and are very special to us. They will continue to be loved and pampered.

We also have a few goats. The original idea was to help keep brush under control - and they do a very good job of that! But now we also want them to provide milk for our own use. We have a Nigerian Dwarf dairy goat that we purchased from Wanda Clark at Doublegate Farm. (Thank you, Wanda!) Her name is Doublegate Pal Americana (we call her Meri). She is a cute little black goat with a frosted muzzle and ears, and has blue eyes. Our granddaughter is excited about getting into junior showmanship with Meri or one of her kids! Meri's little buckling is for sale. His picture is on the "
Goats for Sale" page.

My granddaughter and I are also making collars, leashes, and other accessories for dogs and goats. You can see many of them in "
The Family Store" and can even choose the fabric and have them made to your own specifications. We also have some listed in our "Etsy" store. Just use the link to the left.

If you have any questions about our dachshunds, goats, or accessories, please phone or email.
